> How do I register online?

 

  • First, select the class you want by checking the box in front of the class title, then click Add to My Shopping Cart at the top of the page. (Note: You will be prompted to sign in if you haven’t already. If you are a new student you will need to click Create Student Profile and create your learnconnect.com account before proceeding.)
  • Next, indicate the number of students you are registering and click Submit.
  • You may Choose Additional Classes or if you are ready, click Checkout.
  • You will then see an Order Review. If it is correct, click Continue Checkout.
  • At the following window, Refund Policy Acknowledgement, please read and agree to the refund policy and tell us how you heard about us.
  • Next you see the Membership Profile Review and have an opportunity to check your profile. Please make sure that your information is correct. Then click Continue Checkout. 
  • Next you will provide your payment information and click Submit.
    • Once your payment is processed, make sure to print your receipt and course confirmation. Your confirmation is your ticket to the class, and includes details about the class, including directions to the class location.


> How else may I register for a class?   

  • Phone: (401) 274-9330. Use your Visa/MC/Discover to register, 24-hours each day. If you get into our voicemail system, press 2. Leave your name, address, day and evening phone numbers, as well as your credit card number and expiration date. Tell us the courses for which you would like to register (title and number). If we have all the necessary information, we will immediately process your registration. If we have any questions, we will contact you.
  • Fax: (401) 521-3910. Fax the completed registration form with your Visa/MC/Discover card information, 24 hours every day.
  • Mail: Send your check or money order to: Learning Connection, 201 Wayland Avenue, Providence, RI 02906. Enclosing a stamped, self-addressed envelope will expedite our response.
  • In-Person: Learning Connection is located in the heart of the Wayland Square shopping district, at 201 Wayland Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island. Our office is open Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 8:00 pm; Fridays 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. For directions, please see the Contact page.


> Specifically, where do classes meet?

Classes meet in private businesses, instructors’ homes, or rental locations in the East Side neighborhood. Specific directions are sent with your course confirmation tickets. Learning Connection is cautious to place classes in well-lit and safe environments.

> What is the Refund Policy?

Please read the following information carefully before completing your registration:

 

• Transfers/Credits/Refunds: If you cannot attend a course as planned, you may receive a LC/SCLN  class credit. You must inform LC/SCLN in writing 3 business days prior to the first class meeting. You must return your class ticket to the registration office. Credits may be applied toward the cost of any future LC/SCLN  course within the next year from date of issue. If you contact us less than three days in advance, you are entitled to a class credit valued at 50% of the class fee. If you contact LC/SCLN  on the day of the class or after the class has occurred, you are not entitled to a class credit or transfer of any kind. Special events and certain courses are non-transferable and non-refundable. These non-refundable courses are indicated in course description and include all computer instruction. Refunds are given only if LC/SCLN  cancels a class. Refunds are processed the last day of the month. Sorry, no exceptions. LC/SCLN reserves the right to change class locations, schedules, fees, instructors when necessary. Please no tape recording during classes without prior permission from the instructor. LC/SCLN is pleased to welcome and admit students 18 years of age and over of any race, color, religion, or national and ethnic origin to all classes. Students under 18 will be permitted only with prior consent of the instructor and staff.

• Inclement Weather: LC/SCLN will not issue refunds for classes which have been postponed due to inclement weather or other circumstances beyond our control. We will make every effort to reschedule such classes. Please check this web site for notices of class cancellations or postponements due to inclement weather.

• Quality: We are proud of the quality of our programs. If after attending a class, you are not completely satisfied, we will issue a LC/SCLN credit for the course fee plus a $10 credit towards another class of your choice. Please make your request within 7 days of the class meeting.
